Y5 has hosted a poetry competition to raise money for the Lent Campaign in Dhairya's school. Dhairya spent an entire Sunday morning to write these beautiful poems:

- The Tiger
- The Space

Each entry accompained by a 10 DKK contribution  is how the money was raised.

The Tiger won him the second prize!! Too proud of my boy - a non native english speaker!!

The Tiger

by Dhairya (6y)

The tiger with its orange coat,
Cousin of the cheetah with its speed and sight,
Cousin of the lion with its rule of the jungle,
Animals will have a hard fight!

They might be very endangered,
But they still are here.
So I wanted to find one,
With boots they could not hear.

You might,
Survive the tiger.
You might,
Be the last survivor.

The next thing I knew,
The tiger was found.
When I found it,
It made an extremely loud sound.

When it was asleep,
There came a man,
Near the tiger
With a frying pan…

I woke up the tiger,
And then the man ran.
Now I wasn’t scared,
Of any man like that man.

It was fun to see him,
Run and run.
I’m sure he wouldn’t like to,
See another one.

I climbed upon a tree,
To see him run.
After he stopped,
It still wasn’t done.
The next time I saw him,
He was getting his gun.
He was shooting towards the tiger,
And that was not fun.

I raced up to the tiger,
I had to free it, I had to save it.
For the sake of the tiger,
I just could not sit!

The tiger with its orange coat,
Cousin of the cheetah with its speed and sight,
Cousin of the lion with its rule of the jungle,
Humans will have a hard fight!

Nativity Service

This year the Y2 Children were tasked with presenting the nativity service that is presenting the birth of Jesus play in the school church before they break for Christmas holidays.

Vihaan and his class children put in tons of efforts in practicing for a play called Christmas with the Aliens themed around aliens landing on earth during Christ's birth and witnessing the entire ongoings.

Vihaan was a narrator and I  must say did a very good and confident narration.

Dhairya's Poetry

For the school work in Literacy, Dhairya has written this poetry. He is in Y6. This is a really nice piece of work for a 10 year old, non native English speaker.

My life as a water drop

-        By Dhairya

The tap opened, and I fell out

I felt, I would be swallowed by a snake

I had had a lot in the last few days

Just thinking about it made my head ache.

I was squished as an elephant in a closet,

I was kidnapped from my old home

I noticed I was stuck in a pipe,

I had gone right through a large storm.

Right now, I was as blue as the sky

Racing rivers ragingly roared

I am a sprinting Cheetah

My best friend said “bye” as I dried.

I felt like a microscopic kite,

I was as cold as Mars,

Wet vapor valiantly valid

I saw a pile of cars

I was as soft as cotton

I was as white as a sheep

I was as clean as a polished car

I saw a cliff and it was steep.

I fell and fell on that cliff

I was a meteorite

My friend said I’ll not die

And he was right.
